Operation: Restore the Tithe

Welcome to The Malachi Blessing - Operation: Restore the Tithe!

Malachi 3:10             Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse,
so there will be enough food in My house, test Me now in this,”   says the  Lord  Almighty,  “ and see if I will not open up for you
the  windows  of  heaven and pour out a blessing  so great  that
there will not be enough room to store it."

Wow!  What a blessing!  So much we can't even store it!

If you've ever wondered about this blessing and how to receive it or why it hasn't come
or isn't here.  Then you've come to the right place!

If you've ever wondered what the tithe is for, you've come to the right place.

So have we, and we're going to take a look at this blessing very closely.

The first thing we need to remember is that the book of Malachi is all about
restoring the tithe . . . well, no, not exactly. It's about restoring a relationship, and
the tithe is the manifestation or demonstration of that relationship or lack thereof.
In the book of Malachi, the  leadership  and the people have grown complacent,
bitter, and wondering why God isn't blessing.  So, in His love for us, He tells them.
Why?  Because  He  wants very deeply to bless us.  And bless us abundantly!
That's why.

Here are some questions we've had and heard from others -

Q – What is the Malachi Blessing?
A – The Malachi Blessing is God’s offer for keeping His ordinance of the
Tithes and Offerings.  “ If you do this, then I will do this.”

Q – What does the Malachi Blessing consist of?
A – We don’t know exactly,  but we do know that God promises that it will
be so large we won’t be able to contain it. Whether it’s a blessing of miracles,
salvations, spiritual in nature,  or finances,  there will be no denying it.

Q – Is the Malachi Blessing still offered today?
A – Yes, although we don’t see it too often, the Malachi Blessing is still available.
It is the only time  in Scripture God challenges us to test Him.

Q – How would a blessing like that look?
A – A flood that can’t be stopped. It just keeps flowing.  But, just as the loaves
and  fishes were  multiplied to feed the people,  it only came as there was need,
then it stopped.  But it did not stop before that. The miracle kept coming until all
were satisfied and it was being used correctly.  Nobody was gathering to take
with them similar to the miracle of  Manna in the desert.

Q – Why don’t we see this blessing today?
A – For the same reason they didn’t see it then.  We must be robbing God too.

Q – I tithe, people at my church tithe,  why still no abundant blessing?
A – 1. People and churches will say that they tithe and are blessed.  And there is indeed
a personal  blessing for tithing;  for you cannot outgive God. However, do those
blessings  meet  the prophetic standard of  uncontainable?
      2. The  Malachi  Blessing is corporate blessing not an individual one. Meaning
everybody needs to tithe; if even one person is short the whole tithe is short.
Hence, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse."
      3. We don’t see this blessing because we no longer understand the ordinance
of  the Tithes and Offerings.   Example  –  the ordinance is a two fold  ordinance.
          a.  the people must tithe,  and  b.  it must be used correctly. If either of these
is not followed God renders the tithe defiled and this disqualifies us from the
blessing. If we do not keep our end of the deal, God cannot keep His.
      4. The church today often uses the “cheerful giver” passage to determine how much we
should tithe.  However, that passage is not about the tithe and is being misused.
      5. The word “tithe” means tenth or 10%. A person cannot “determine in their heart”
what to tithe,  God  has already done that.  The consequence is  this,  if a person
decides to “cheerfully” tithe less than 10%, they have defiled it. Conversely, we can't
tithe more than 10% either. In other words, if tithe means 10%, how can a person
"tithe" 15% and call it 10%?  Do we think God doesn't know the difference?  God has
only stated 10%. If a person wants to give more, now it's called an offering.
      6. It must be used correctly. If the tithe is misused or misspent it has been defiled and
disqualifies us from the blessing. Unfortunately, under the guise of stewardship, the
church has decided on its own what the tithe should be used for. Sadly, without
consulting scripture, we've gotten it wrong.
      7. The motive for tithing is somehow impure.
      8. We have confused the tithe and offerings. We've lumped them together thinking they
are interchangeable and they are not. Consequently, we treat them the same, and
          they are not.
